The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) awarded P15,000 under the Sustainable Livelihood Program – Livelihood Assistance Grant (SLP-LAG) to fifteen (15) selected individuals who belong to small businesses or micro-enterprises and were affected during the COVID-19 pandemic last December 15.
“While it is true that there are many livelihood assistance being offered by our government, the processes and requirements are very meticulous. However, we are lucky enough that all our requests to include our affected residents are always accommodated. In return, we are also expecting that all these assistance received will be used as what it was programmed for,” said Mayor Marcial Jr. C. Lawilao.
During the orientation conducted prior to the payout, Mr. Headan B. Cacdac and Ms. Cassey K. Ebfan of DSWD – Social Welfare Development Mountain Province explained to the recipients about their responsibilities after receiving the grant. They were assisted by MSWDO Brigida Mangay-at and Ms. Charlene B. Lawilao, Focal Person for livelihood and employment.
Prior to the awarding of livelihood grant, initial screening and interview was conducted by the DSWD.
